The Local Government Unit of Midsayap, Cotabato participated in the 2015 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Survey which was joined by 142 cities and 978 municipalities out of a total of 1,634 localities nationwide. The Index was created in 2013 by the National Competitiveness Council (NCC) and the Regional Competitiveness Committee (RCC) with the assistance of Project INVEST of the United States Agency for International Development.

Under the Government Efficiency Pillar, for the 1st and 2nd Class Municipalities Category, Municipality of Midsayap ranked second nationwide.

For Top Ten 1st and 2nd Most Competitive Municipalities in the Philippines, Midsayap ranked 9. For the overall ranking in the Most Competitive Municipalities in the Philippines, Municipality of Midsayap ranked 8, a four notches higher compared to 2014 CMCI performance. Hon. Mayor Romeo D. Araña and Hon. Vice Mayor Albert Luis L. Garduque were among those over 1,000 delegates from LGUs, national government agencies and private sector who witnessed and received the prestigious award.

For Cotabato Province, only the Municipalities of Kabacan and Midsayap were among the Top 10 Most Competitive Municipalities in the Philippines.

CMCI 2015 measures and provides a picture of how our Local Government Unit (LGU) is performing in terms of three equally-weighted pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency and Infrastructure using 28 indicators. The data can be used by potential investors in deciding where to locate their businesses. More importantly, the data can serve as a tool for the LGU to evaluate the competitiveness of our locality and take steps to improve performance and attractiveness for investments and serves as guide in the formulation of our yearly development plans in order to strengthen the capability of the LGU to become business-friendly, service-oriented and economically competitive.

Lastly, once again the Local Government Unit thru the Local Economic and Investment Promotion Office (LEIPO) is thanking all local offices in LGU-Midsayap, line agencies, GOCCs and all concerned for the collaborative effort shown for the success of our participation in the 2015 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) performance ratings, an Index proving that nowadays the Municipality of Midsayap is an investment destination.
